Project Overview

A collaborative effort to conceptualize the impact of COVID-19 across all U.S. states by synthesizing data from over 10 medical and federal databases. I played a role in developing, publishing, and presenting detailed dashboards that analyzed each state's response to the pandemic. These dashboards were then presented to 50 U.S. state governors, providing them with comprehensive insights to inform their decision-making and policy development regarding the ongoing crisis.

Lessons learned

‍- Over-communicating is vital, especially in an all remote work environment to effectively coordinate with my team members
- Teamwork is crucial when working with a diverse group to ensure that all aspects of the project are aligned and objectives are met individual dashboards are predecessors for regional dashboards.
-The ability to adapt to new information and keep an open mind, which is particularly important in a rapidly evolving situation like a pandemic.

What I enjoyed

Gaining insights into how policy decisions can significantly impact the wellbeing of large populations, regardless of initial intent. This experience underscored the critical importance of leveraging data-driven analyses to provide decision-makers with actionable insights.
The following is a sample of a dashboard. As a team, 53 of these dashboards would be developed weekly. 50 for each state, 3 for each region.
